Not a knife but a nice piece of Spyderco history :) . A nice Ed Schempp Damscus tile. This was the raw material for the bolsters of the Spyderco Delica 25th anniversary

The collector in me wants one of those, but the practical side doesn't and I don't see many go for sale.

4 new toys that I just picked up this week.

This one snuck in yesterday afternoon when I wasn't home. The edge was a bit on the coarse side, so I took it down a bit and it's quieter now when cutting paper. Was cleaning off the oiled edge with a paper towel & my thumb when it drew its first blood. Didn't even feel it until the oil started to burn, plenty sharp now!

I'll tell you - that little Meerkat is almost a chameleon. In some pictures it looks dirt brown. In other lighting conditions is almost looks purpleish or wine colored. In other shots, it looks almost like a dark adobe color.

These arrived some days ago, Li'l Matriarch and Matriarch 2. They are a very nice addition to my other hawkbills.

However, I wonder why the Li'l Matriarch has jimping on the back of the blade and the M2 doesn't, as can be seen in the pic. I'm a great fan of jimping, even if it's on a blade mostly used for pull cuts.

Both are hawkbill-scary, but the M2 is certainly a truly scary, impressive knife.

Skate, thanks for this picture. I was seeing pictures of the Matriarch 2 and kept thinking that the hook at the end was much more curved than my Lil Matriarch. I think this picture proves it.
