Last I heard he pretty much took a vow to never do a regrind ever again. I've emailed him and Brad Southard and haven't gotten a reply from either and those were the only two I'm familiar with.
So back to a question I asked long ago about work hardening H1...if the action of grinding serrations is what makes H1 serrations have such great edge retention, would the additional grinding of a regrind have the same effect?

I doubt it because when regrinding you want to keep the blade cool to the touch. Thereby limiting the chances of burning the edge or steel thereby affecting the steel in any way.

Gareth did mention that it was like working with Putty compared with M4(BM760 he also Reground for me) so in this case Gareth kept the Blade cool all the time. The H1 still looses its edge just like it always did, I do leave a 320 grit DMT finish on the edge, pops hair/slices newspaper, toilet paper etc, the course grind assits in the edge retention, awesome lightweight carry though,(I use it for jogging plus ourdoor exercise, IWC)
