start a stampede lately?
I still get kicks out of starting stampedes of non knife folks.
this weekend, was using my spydie dragonlfy(2.25" blade, stainless handle, plaine edge) to open an eggroll to get plumsauce inside... got the comment of "what are you doing with that large knife", reached down, opened the se/frn endura and set it on the table"This?", then reached back and took the lum tanto fixed out of the sheath, set it on the table "or this?"
they stood and stared, then backed away slowly, got mall rent-a-cop over, and asked what I was doing with knives in the mall, told him I was just at the knife store and stopped to eat lunch and this guy came over to harrass me... it's not like I hide my knives(2 belt carry, neck carry outside of shirt, and clips visable on pockets, shirt tucked in)... the other guy was escorted out of the mall.
Great fun on friday.

Cool story, thanks for sharing. My wife carries her Chinook but surprisingly, it goes unnoticed. I guess people think that bulk in her pocket it's a cellphone or something with a peculiar clip.

Large knife? Did he mean the 'Fly? what a wacko.
Just FYI,if you'd done that here in the US,they prolly would've called the cops and hauled you off. 'Specially w/the fixed blade. Too many goofballs in this country that don't understand the concept of tools,or the right of self defense. God forbid someone carries a Ladybug onto an airplane. :-P

yah, the large knife comment came from the right side... fixed is on left, so he'd have only seen the mulit tool on right. So by my best guess the comment was about the 'fly.
sven> the mall rentacops are starting to get used to me. I used to work in front of the mall at burgerking back aug 00-nov 01, and I've been buying at my local since 96. I have been walking ion the mall and opened a bag of chips with my fixed.
dyna> Welcome to communist canada. I can carry a 6" up here, though a 4" fixed is easier to get away with and not get any reports of a wacko running around with a machete(not that I haven't done that... I had just bought a 20" sword and tossed it my trunk before stopping for lunch).
