Is the Byrd meadowlark hawkbill and BYRD HAWKBILL FRN the same knife? I see them priced differently or named differently with what appears to be the same specs on different sites. I do not see the meadowlark hawkbill listed on the spyderco catalog so I assume it is the same knife?

They certainly look the same. It appears that at one point in production they used "Meadowlark 2" scales before receiving scales marked "Hawkbill."

Same thing. It uses the Meadowlark handle with a different blade. The other byrd hawkbill (Crossbill) never came in FRN.

Bought one, great size and very sharp. Thin and light enough to clip to my pocket and forget it is there.
