I didn't see any details about the production process, other than the "Spray Forming" in the beginning... sounds like a powder process...?

Spray forming is a technique which is similar to PM in that basically it reduces the effective ingot size and thus reduces carbide segregation and promotes a finer aus-grain. It however does not achieve the same level as PM but isn't intended to. It is intended to basically be a mid way technique between conventional ingot steels and PM, i.e., if you could not afford PM but had a bit more money than what is needed for ingot steels you could go with spray forming.
