Jazz wrote:That Jester looks great, Jack. Now, you have me wanting that light. My most used is a PD-10. Same twisty switch... or is that a twisty?
Yes, twisty head switch. Tighten the head once and it turns on at med. Unscrew (turn off) and quickly tighten again to have the low setting. Once more quickly and you have high. I don't know about other's but this sequence is exactly perfect IMO. Med is ok for 90% of my light needs for a small light. My next most often used or needed is a very dim light. But, if I need the brightest setting I have it but being the least used having it as the last option is great. This is all the light does and all I need for EDC. SOS, strobe and anything like that I could only see needing during activities I don't do any more. Outdoor activities like hiking, camping, etc. that might involve being in an emergency needing to attract attention for example. If I were to be in this situation I'd sure want something a little more (a lot more :) ) powerful than a AAA or AA light. I would want flares to shoot a couple thousand feet into the air and explode. :D Not to mention the cans that blow making that extremely loud (annoying) noise. So, I guess my Jester/light combo isn't an acceptable addition to my survival kit. :)
This is my knife but I'm not responsible for any of the awesome work on it.

OK, finally got my latest project done...I really, really like my Techno, but as some of you guys know, I dont really like rounded spines or as I call it 'humpy spines'. So, I finally had a fellow forumite mod blade spine for me to more a straight spine - essentially, got rid of the hump. Apologies to those of you who find this some form of blasphemy...but, Im thrilled to have a Techno that fits my eye. Personally, I think the mod makes the knife better looking - the blade and handle form a nice flowing arc now. What do you guys think?

Manbug with black G-10
Here is the last change I've made to my Manbug. Glad I didn't throw away those little pieces of G-10. Scraps are big enough for little knives. :D

I might be a little biased, but I think it turned out pretty good. :)Pneumothorax wrote:So, I finally had a fellow forumite mod blade spine for me to more a straight spine - essentially, got rid of the hump. It definitely flows better to my eye and is a bit sleeker overall. It's still a beefy little knife.
42 Spyderco fixed blades and counting...
