You've my sword. :P
Why american manufactures like Spyderco nad Benchmade don't use solid coating on pocket clips in all folders like on arrow clip from Benchmade or old clip "Benchmade U.S.A."?
Painted black clip looks cheap.

Am I the only one who 1) doesn't care, or 2) actually appreciates the signs of use on a knife clip? To me the way it wears organically is kinda pretty, and if nothing else it's a sign that I like the knife enough to carry it every day. I will say I'm thinking about polishing the blade a bit because the scratches and other marks are getting pretty bad. Well, they exist, anyway. :p
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I can only speak from personal experience.......Normally no one cares to much about the clip and wear, but, after a few years and maybe a few bears one gets some strange ideas.....and that is when the experimentation begins

I am always in Casinos and around a lot of money. There are times where I am in areas of town that i would not consider safe. I rather you not know that i have a knife on me. There are a lot of people in this town trying to survive and will do anything it takes. I am also near schools during the day. If i worked as a Fed Ex driver during the day then i wouldnt care if people seen a knife on me.ChaoticMayhem65 wrote:I honestly dont see a problem with people spotting me carrying a knife by its clip. So what, im carrying a knife. Whats the big deal?? Its just a knife.
I tried plasti-dip on my Sage 2 clip but it wasn't particularly durable. The friction between pocket and clip was enough to wear through after a short while but that could be due to the round wire shape. It might be different with flat clips. I found that the 1/4" shrink tube from Lowes is great on the flat clips.VictorLouis wrote:Has anyone tried that epoxy resin made for dunking your tool handles into? http://www.plastidip.com/
