C161GP Ulize - a review

Ah, got'cha. SD question. I don't even think about SD scenarios. Sorry. But there are several here who do. I'm sure they could give you some input.

Normally, I'm not worried about the Spyder hole making the blade somewhat weaker to lateral stress, as there's usually enough steel adjacent to the thumb hole, but has anyone raised this issue about the Ulize given it's a longer blade than usual ?

The Ulize to me seem more appropriate for use in the woods as a folding kukhuri that for the intended use. I would probably choose this over many other spydies, but that is just speculation. I really want to get one to try it out i hard use.

I'd like to know what you guys think about this. I don't have this concern about the Police 3 because even though it has a big blade it isn't as slim.

Thanks for pointing me to this thread, but I was more looking for the opinions of regular posters on this forum, because I use the Spyderco Police 3 as a comparison.

That being said, I think I'll follow your recommendation and ask the designer too. Though I'd still like to hear what some of you think.
