Oh Man, this is NOT gonna be a good year for my wallet! :rolleyes: First, the Dialex has a sweet grind and at 3" is a perfect carry size, the Lum's were a bit big for me. Second: the Blue Cricket looks just cool, sheeple-friendy, and I haven't had a Cricket in many years, need one back in the collection. And third: WOW! the Chap 3 is just plain COOL, great design in a perfect office carry knife. Kind of Escher-esque, and like nothing else out there. Need all 3... and a LOT of show yet to go! :D

Just a detail about the Chaparral 3, I would have been curious to see how it would have looked like if they have aligned borders of "squares" along different axis like drawn in red on the picture, instead of along the black lines like they did.

Interesting point, I wonder if the milling was done after cutting the scales as the pattern is uniform? Having said that the scales would still have to be flat ground though, after being cut would allow for a change in aesthetics eaier than adjusting the spacing on the Ti plate.

Mind you the knife is probably to be looked at from tip to tail?

As I understand he is also processing a couple/few hundred raw files to find the best ones. Those aren't exactly small.

Hi all, just a short funny story. As I visited our NL distributor with Sal & Eric yesterday, at some point in our discussions and talks Sal pulled out the, still secret, Fluted Carbon Fiber Native and showed it around. He and Eric both carry a pre-production model and Sal said that in order to do all the testing they eventually need to "Break" one to see how the strength of all components will hold up. Well, it turned out that Sal and Eric were very reluctant to volontarily turn in their knife to get tested and broken.... They like 'em too much... So the "Break test"might be pushed into the future for some time...... I must admit that it is an excellent knife and I would be sorry too to distroy it. However, quality testing dictates that one of the two will be trashed....

This was the moment of the meet where more and more knives were trickling in at my table to photograph them. Consequently, I had my face inside my lightbox behind the camera and I couldn’t quite get all the info Sal and Eric were giving. So if any fellow attendee can add info on these following prototypes, please don’t hesitate.



From the pictures you will notice that the Delica 4 Super Blue has a laminated blade. I’m not sure what steel was used for the outer layers. Sal mentioned that the plan is to make the following knives in a sprint run of super blue with a grey FRN handle: Stretch, Endura and Dragonfly.









I know you can find official Delica specs in every catalog, but just for completeness sake (and you can determine how ‘off’ our measurement are), we measured the Delica 4 Super Blue. Again, we took a ruler and lined up on the blade against the edge of the scale near the pivot and measured in a straight line to the tip.

Blade Length: 7,5 cm / 2.95 inch
Overall Length: 18 cm / 7 inch

Hmm. Is the gray on the SB the same color as the gray FRN found on the E4's and D4's? Looks great and I love how well gray looks with a patina'd blade. Thanks for the pics Wouter!

The Delica 4 Titanium Damascus wasn’t a huge surprise, since it was already pictured in the catalog. Still, it is great to examine the knife in real life. That Takefu Damascus blade looks great with almost any handle. Sal did explain that the Takefu Damascus isn’t real Damascus in the sense that it isn’t folded, the blade is made from sandwiched layers of steel. It makes for both a pretty and practical blade for EDC. The titanium surface felt very smooth. Overall weight was definitely heavier than the FRN Delica 4, but seemed lighter than a full SS Delica 4. A great piece, I’m afraid I’ll end up with one for my collection.

Looks like ATS-34.

BTW, the Delica Super Blue Sprint will have a laminated blade: Aogami + ATS-34, if I remember correctly.
And there will be Super Blue Sprints of the Dfly, the Endura and the Stretch.

The Domino features a buttery smooth flipper action. Furthermore, unlike with the Southard flipper, the Domino’s flipper stays completely out of the way when you want to open the blade with the opening hole. To me, the Domino felt like a cool flipper version of the Manix. The overall size and shape seemed very similar to me. It‘s like a more refined Manix 2.













The specs we measured for the Domino are:

Blade Length: 9 cm / 3.54 inch
Overall Length: 19,3 cm / 7.59 inch
