Spyderco used the steel before, so most likely this is not a Spyderco problem, but Carpenter cannot supply them. Still, this run was announced on Spyderco website and scheduled on July 2012. $20 is not a big money, but people who pre-ordered showed their commitment. IMHO in case of significant delay like in this case out of simple respect to a customer they certainly deserve an update.
This would be nice. :D

I was reading a thread in another forum about the Green Para. There were more than a few people who said they were on pre-order for a year with 6 months of delays and cancelled their pre-order.

If you email Knifeworks, you might be able to snipe 10 of them. :P

Well, there is that, but I'll try hard to find it. I have two of all the PM2 sprints (user & spare) and would like to be in the same place with this one.

I called Knifeworks today to pay off my balance. I asked about the status and was told that Spyderco had trouble getting the steel, but they have the steel in and Knifeworks is expecting the knives May or June.

I am now wondering if the Green Para or the Green Native will come first.

Both have been in planning or on the schedule for over a year.

It should be interesting to see which one lands first.

I emailed Knifeworks to check when to pay balance and she emailed back that they will send an email once the Knifes arrive in July 2013.

Maybe there will be a poll by a random new member about which you'd like to see first and... whichever one Chuck votes for, the other one will be first. :p
