I like my Endura 4 grip the best out of all knife grips I've handled. Even not spyderco brand knives.

FRN Stretch would be at the top of my list. Original and red Sprint C83 Persian would be next. Great ergos but they lose a few points for being uncomfortable to close. CF Stretch, Atlantic Salt, and current C14 Rescue would be a notch or two below them. All feel great when you first open them, but just a bit too thin for real comfort during prolonged use.

I would have to say the Stretch (FRN), followed closely by the Southard G10. They feel almost identical in my hand, the edge going to the Stretch.

G-10 Dodo. Its like wearing a glove with a blade sticking out.

Lava, Native 5, Yojimbo 2(, Captain maybe) for comfort. Manix 2, PPT for "not coming out of my hand".

Spyderco does such an excellent job on the ergonomics, especially considering different people have different size/shape hands, it's hard to pick a favorite from among the many great ones. The first time I held a Manix 2 I was in awe. I haven never had a chance to hold the original Manix, or Temp 1. I find the Szabo to be very comfortable also, even though it is a very large handle. The military ranks right up there too.

I had never had a knife with a choil before my Spyderco's, and have found that I do really like a choil.

So many excellent knives, so little money left... :)

As far as grip goes: Junior, Stretch, and Southard in that order.
The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

I couldn't agree with you more brother>> because there aren't very many Spyderco knives that don't fit my hand at least reasonably well. Many of the smaller folders like the Meerkat, Dragonfly and Spur models seem to have a handle that is disproportionate to my hand. But most of the medium to full sized folders all work pretty well for me.

There isn't any of Spyderco's competitors that I can say that about.

The G-10 Harpy always fitted my hand so well which is the main reason I want it back in the line up. The Police and Rookie models were 2 completely different knives but yet they fit my hands well for 2 completely different sized models. The Catcherman is so pleasant to work with because no matter what job you have it works well. Another Spyder model that fit my hands almost perfectly was the C-50 Centofante.

My favorites are the poliwog, the swick and the spot in that order. I'm also really enjoying the Caly line the more I use them.

My least favorite would have to be the Endura. I just can't find a good grip for my hand on it.

Folders are D`Allara, Assist, Stretch FRN, Dodo, UKPK G10, C41 Native FRN and Para2 in this order. Of course there are a lot of :spyder: s I didn`t handle yet and there are quite a few that have a slim profile, easy to carry but a little too slim for my grip preference.

A fixed blade that stands out far above my other (mainly non-:spyder :) knives is the FB02 Moran. It just locks into my palm in any kind of grip!

For me it's the smaller originals that fit best: the G-10 Caly 3 and Para 1. I tried the newer, larger versions but they're just a bit too big for the size of my palms and finger length. In terms of smaller knives, I, too, like the Kiwi and can't wait for the Lava to come out in a handle material other than SS.

Just look at my signature! The Stretch 2 and the Dragonfly 2. Strong thumb ramp, choil, ability to choke up, fits all 4 of my larger-than-normal fingers, easy one-hand opening, secure in the hand (bi-directional FRN!), the list goes on. These two knives are just great.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Manix 2/XL, Military, Caly 3/3.5, Vallotton, Centofante 3/4, Paramilitary/Para 2, and after some light massaging of the index choil my Yojimbo 2 is quite nice in hand.

For fixed blade the Enuff is really good. I bought some peel ply G10 at the same time that I bought the Enuff to replace the frn scales but when it came in I really liked the scales as they were. I have no plan on changing them now.

For folder the Chokwe, Para 2, Military, Dodo, Yojimbo 2 and Manix 2 are very close for me in grip retention. Out of that group I feel the Manix 2 offers the best in gripability and also not offering a hot spot when doing hard cutting tasks.

I would have to say the Southard, Tuff and PPT for me. These are not in any specific order BTW. To me, these 3 Spydies really feel great. Now dont get me wrong; there are many Spydies that feel really nice. It is just these three that really sparkle for me.
