Make sure the next Mayan or other Apocalypse

is scheduled better. It is almost impossible to get an end of the world party together 4 days before Christmas.

The Y2K apocalypse was almost as bad becoming just a minor theme for already scheduled New Year's Eve parties.
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

Unfortunately Harold Camping has stopped trying to predict the end of the world, or you could take that one up with him. Apparently he has now rejected his earlier work as "sinful."

I just hope my XHP Mule arrives by Friday so I can at least cut something with it before the end...

i predict with dire gloom, that due to the all to common phenomenon of misinterpretation,
a few misguided souls will nonetheless decide it's the end of the road for them anyway...
this is the folly of man,
always wanting so much to believe in mystical enigmas
rather than face the hard facts of life like credit payments.
btw, any prophets-of-doom brave enough to test the purported doomsday theory by maxing out the card?

Lots and lots of funnies lately: (warning, some "non-PC" humor here - but I left out all the Fiscal Cliff, Sarah Palin, and Obama jokes!) TedP

Really though, i'm surprised anyone ever even jokingly took this seriously. What do we know of the Mayans? Oh...they're all DEAD. An entire civilization completely dead. What do they know about anything?

OR, another way to look at it is like this. The Mayans either were aliens, or had successful contact with aliens, and simply packed up and left.
