I had a chance to buy the Lava but it felt too heavy. If it came in a FRN handle I'd buy it!

FRN tooling is quite expesnive. The model must exhibit very long term volume tendencies to justify the investment.

I always thought the lava was one of the ultimate Spyderco designs but the heavy stainless always prevented me from carrying it..looking forward to this one!

Based on the Polliwog, the Lava in G-10 will be a significant weight feel in hand from the original. For me, it will be a definite refinement over the original SS handles.

So do a nice CF with a CPM M4 blade. It would be rocking. And I know you said same clip but a Dragonfly clip would be sweet on it.

It has to be Japanese steel. Maybe further down the road a zdp version with carbon fiber would be nice, but it would probably cost a lot.

Mahalo dres_x,

I'm rather curious myself. I miss my ol' C110. :(

Take care!

Hey Chad! The perfect guy to ask the perfect question :D .

I believe last we heard they were gearing up for a Blue G10 Lava sprint. Don't quote on it though...just a vague recollection.

Aloha Sal,

Long time no see! Sir, all I can say is MAHALO for listening to your customers. I've always admired the fact that you do that...your success proves the fact that: "You get what you give in life". I just pray that it will be well received at the SHOT Show.

Best regards to the crew and thanks Sal.
Take care!
