Is anyone using Instagram?
I'm new to it but I see there are tons of knife porn shots with the #Spyderco tag being a very popular one. I know from the picture threads a lot of us aren't above taking pics of our stuff while drooling over others so I was curious if anyone is out there to follow...
...I have no knives I keep in a safe but there are one or two that don't leave the house...

For the life of me, I can't figure out why folks want to make their Instagrams look like faded Polaroids, oversaturated Kodachrome slides, or fuzzy holiday snaps. I worked for 15 years as a professional photographer and worked very hard to advance my craftsmanship to avoid doing this to my work.
I guess if it is "retro" then it looks more "authentic." Sigh. There's no accounting for taste...

Well I know someone that wont be buying the Diana lens for their DSLR. But you don't have to use a filter, you can host a plain photo it seems.phillipsted wrote:For the life of me, I can't figure out why folks want to make their Instagrams look like faded Polaroids, oversaturated Kodachrome slides, or fuzzy holiday snaps. I tend to use my trusty Hassleblad 500C when I'm shooting something other than family snapshots. It was good enough for Buzz Aldrin to take to the moon... :cool:FroOchie wrote:Well I know someone that wont be buying the Diana lens for their DSLR. One of these days, I'm going to look into getting a digital back for it...

I'll follow you back as soon as I can figure out how to see who my followers are. lol. Thanks though! I posted a pic of some of my EDC stuff in a Ferrari we were selling at my dealership and it was an instant hit. I think cars and knives might be the way to go.
