The G10 Delica, Round Two?

#1

Post by Rwb1500 »

I owned a G10 Delica for a while and I can definitively say that it is my favorite Spydie period. The Delica itself is an icon, the G10 treatment only made it so much better.

What about another round? I know most of the complaints about the original were due to the amount of foliage green G10 already in use. How about a different color? Black, blue, orange, brown, grey...natural?

Keep the VG10 for my needs. I just love the feel of that knife in my hands. It could be cheaper steel for all I care. (lol, ok, lets not get crazy).

What do you guys think?

I suppose I should add one if those polls that seem to be so popular.

Hey guys,
Any steel, any color.
The g10 d4 is one of my favorites! It's like a custom version of an already very cool knife.

I would but a sprint run endura would be more to my liking with the G10

A g-10 Delica would be ok, I might buy one (ok, I would for sure), but a g-10 Endura would be mine sooo fast!

None for me, thanks, but if Spyderco feels they can make money on a run of them, I'd be all for it happening.

+1 I'd take at least 2 in an instant. I'd take an Endura as well.

If I had to choose steel and colour, keep it simple and attractive to non spydernuts as well : FFG VG10 and sand / coyote / tan G10

Yes, a Delica in VG10 FFG with brown/coyote G-10 scales and a wire clip would be nice.

The Delica is too small for my needs but it is always interesting to see a new version of a classic. I usually end up purchasing one after all is said and done.

I'd love to see the G-10 Delica in the same earth brown as the recent sprint Para 2.

I like the idea of Orange G-10.

I certainly would. I love mine and I would enjoy another as well. Maybe the Delica has just enough length to entertain a Superblue FFG blade and I would be happy with almost any color G-10 (coyote brown preferred).

Yes and yes, one of my absolute favorites but I missed out on a back up. VG10 is perfectly fine for steel choice, navy blue, orange and black are my top choices for handle colour but I am not too fussed.

They might have been considered expensive but mine has been worth every penny.

many people collect many and still use the delica the most. it's definitely a favorite and a g-10 version would be an awesome upgrade

I could be wrong but even with a more universally accepted color (like black) I don't know how well it would sell. It would probably be around $120 on the web, maybe a bit more. Not a ton of money for a quality tool but over twice the cost of the more basic version.

Like Paul said if Spyderco is game then it would be fun to watch. I won't buy one but that doesn't say much about the market. :)
