Lent my friend a Dragonfly2 ZDP to cut open some celebratory cigars during a bachelor party. For a lack of a proper cigar cutter, it worked out quite well.

I took my Sharpmaker to work and did a quick resurrection on the edge of my co-worker's "parking lot find" Kershaw. Someone had put it on their grinder and buggered the edge. I rebevelled at 30, then sharpened at 40 and to his delight it was shaving sharp. Thank goodness I took my diamond triangles!

Suffice it to say, he will be buying a Sharpmaker pretty soon.

Used my Lightweight Manix 2 to cut pizza, afterwards it cut the wrapping of three icecream popsicles.

I'm on vacation and yes, I have to get on the forums just to check what's going on. I may not post much, but I look here everyday and generally it makes me happy. Passion in just about any form (forum) is exciting to behold.

That said, I used my Salt I to wrap on my Scuba tank today to get my buddy's attention to point out a Moray eel. It was purple and white and about 8 inches (20cm) in diameter. I only saw the first foot or so sticking out of the coral, but it looked BIG. Then again everything looks bigger underwater. Without the knife I couldn't have made any reasonable noise underwater. I'm so very glad to have a rust proof knife!

Afterwards I used the knife to cut up an onion for sandwiches to deliver to my wife down on the beach. I cut them nice and thin. They would have been delicious except that I left them in our room. After lunch, we returned and our room STANK!

It's been great having my Salt in my pocket and not worrying about rust!

I love to hear about how Salts get used. Such a unique knife.

My Delica4 has been dry as dirt but loves eating boxes! I'll have to get a shot at the end of a work day to show off!

I used a serrated endura opening sacks of quick-crete yesterday and then used it again early this morning trimming plastic sheeting from around where I built a concrete ramp out back and to cut off the tips of caulk used to fill some cracks along the stairs above it.

I washed the knife out with warm water and oiled it last night, and did the same again this morning after using it and think I got all of the "grit" out that I felt when opening it.

I feel very sad. Had my Millie on me the entire day and did not get a chance to use it. Have a few reports to finish. Oh boring.

I recently purchased a Russian Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine.Today I decided to clean it up and get it ready to go to the range and fire it. I learned years ago one that of the best cleaning tools is a Popcycle stick. I trim the edge with my Dragonfly ZDP 189 to nice sharp wedge shape with a sharp bevel edge. The ZDP Steel gives great very smooth cut to wood of popcycle stick to a fine edge. It will remove stuck on dirt and old grease from the metal and wood parts with out scratching or removing the finish or blueing. I've used a lot of types of Spyderco knives for this work and I like the Dragon Fly design with the ZDP 189 steel the best of all so far.Perfect size and shape for this type of detail work. These sticks work great for cleaning Spydies too.

This week London Broil was on sale and that mean two great things for me, time to put a mule to work and time for some great homemade beef jerky. This was my evening!

I really love this blade steel and would love it if more knives were available in the same livery.

Needed to move 40 gallons of dirty oil/water waste from a 50 gallon drum to buckets for hazo transport. Made a siphon with heater hose and an air compressor. Buddies knife couldn't get the job done, but my trusted and loved Endura ate it up like it was nothing, and didn't mind the dirty conditions one bit. I have to admit when it came time to make the little hole for the air, I switched to my backup which today was my Skyline in favor of the thinner, finer tip. A dragonfly might soon be replacing the Kershaw every now and again, and my coin pocket is just begging for a ladybug. And maybe another on my keys :p But I have to give props to my little Skyline. It proved a worthy sidekick to the Endura and didn't give up one bit.
Have:
Endura 4, Tenacious, Paramilitary 2

Want:
Dodo, CF Stretch, Military, Gayle Bradley, Tasman Salt, Ladybug Hawkbill

Hope you have a smooth shift to your new house Chuck. Afterwards, I suppose you could gift yourself something worthwhile to thank yourself on a job well done ;) Something that can be used to cut things and can be clipped. I think you know what I mean :D
