Dragonfly Question

#1

Post by pgsongy »

I was going to order one on Amazon, but I have two questions:

1. The FRN version is listed as having skeletonized steel liners on the Amazon website. I thought that the FRN Dragonfly didn't HAVE liners, just the FRN.

2. For a knife of this size, does the lack of liners create any "flex" in the day-to-day use of the Dragonfly (presuming appropriate use and no prying or other "abuse")?

Thanks for the info.

I have the ZDP FRN Dragonfly and mine does not have steel liners. I'm almost positive the VG10 FRN version is the same.

As for flex, I haven't noticed any during my day to day use over the 2 weeks that I've owned the D'fly ZDP.

The G10 version has liners.
We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.

No liners, no flex, just tough little knives. Get one and you'll be glad you did.

- best wishes, Jazz.

It is very common for amazon sellers to have the wrong info on knife models since there are many variations and they often just copy and paste the info from other descriptions. None of the frn models have liners. As for the flex, the dragonfly may be small but it is powerful and sturdily built.

I actually prefer the non-liner ZDP FRN version to the lined G10 version in the Dragonfly. Solid little knife and a I love the British Racing Green!

I have a FRN VG10 Dragonfly and it is unlined. This little knife is a very tough big little knife and capable of tasks way beyong it's size. I recomend it highly. I have the G10 version as well but prefer the FRN,
