Jeff just answered my question of when this knife would be "en route" to me...

NOW!

He just sent me a message stating that he had inspected my knife, as per my request, and that it was in the mail.

It may have cost a little bit more (a lot, actually!) but I am excited, nonetheless, and very anxious to get my pea pickin' paws on it. This will be my second Para 2 this month, having received the brown CPM-S35VN a couple of weeks ago, and the third Para 2 I have in my growing collection of Spyderco's! For, alas! It was the Digicam DLC S30V Para 2 that inflicted the first Spyder bite upon my tender flesh...a little over a year and a few hundred dollars ago. Ouch!

Orange Para 2 in Da House!

#362

Post by SDR »

Okay, so the fabled Orange Para 2 arrived with today's mail. But, unlike my 2 previous Para 2's, I'm not feeling the love. Perhaps it's because it came so stiff? No blade drop on this guy! The Brown Para 2 that arrived around the first of the month jumped out of the box loose as a goose -- it was silky perfection! I experienced the same thing with my Digicam DLC Para 2 -- instant perfection! I have attempted to tweak the pivot screw, but that really didn't accomplish the desired result. Oh well, 2 out of 3 isn't bad. I hope that it will become looser with some use. Time will tell? Maybe I was expecting too much, especially at this price point -- MSRP?

Here it is...

Best PM2 and blade steel I've ever owned. All mechanical instruments require break-in.

I own a few of the sprint PM2's

Amazing what a new pair of pants has done for my Orange Para 2. It's a new day with a new attitude toward my newest Spyderco. I'm starting to feel the love!

It's all sold out now. I can't handle the stress.

Joking (on the latter).

I like that fob and bead SDR. Looks really good on your OP2.

I've been carrying mine at work for the last week and it's a bit dirty right now. Nothing a magic eraser can't take care of.

Thanks, guys! I appreciate the compliments on the lanyard and bead. The lanyard is a creation from Wilson Tactical, and I agree that it looks great on the Orange Para 2. I replaced the small black plastic bead that came on the lanyard originally with the one you see in the pics above. It's a metal bead that I found in a local bead store and I use them on all of my Para 2 lanyards. I'll post a pic of different colored one that is on my Brown Para 2 below...

Not here and I suggest you edit that before the moderator has to. Try eBay, Bladeforms, knife forums, Candlepower forums marketplace or Jersey Devil just to name a few.
We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.
