Hello Guys;
I was just trying to think up the perfect knife - hypothetical exercise. After a few iterations, this is what I came up with:
Model: Spyderco Starmate (like the older one in 440V).
Liners : Like the gayle bradley (steel, thichness, fit 'n finish ...)
Scales: Lightning strike Carbon fiber (full scales, not like the GB)
Pivot: Normal military pivot; maybe add a Chris reeves like bushing.
Clip: 4 position 3 screw hourglass clip
Blade steel: CPM-M4 (what else ?)
Blade form: Spyderco starmate
Blade grind: little bit higher than the original, or flat ground
Thickness: 4 mm like the original
Spine: aluminium or something else solid but not too heavy.
If something like this would be released .. I'd buy a dozen.
Come to think of it; there is nothing "bigger" then the Gayle bradley in the normal production folders in CPM-M4 ... Seems we might be missing something there.

Much better than the one that we are going to get...
I could do without the lightening strike, but could also live it with, I'd want maybe a slightly larger pivot. And it HAS to keep the original grind. Not a Starmate if it doesn't.

I am enjoying the freedom of going wherever and doing whatever I please without question this week at the beach. If the H1 para 2 was an option, I would have had it in my swim trunks all week. Thank you Spyderco for the H1 and for all your dedicated engineering to cutlery excellence. We all appreciate your continued dedication and commitment.PARATOM wrote:I was just dreaming today of a H1 para 2 when i was fishing.
