Cat showed up today. I'm stunned by how solid it is. I automatically thought small = delicate. I should really know better by now. While 440c isn't the worlds greatest steel it sure does get sharp.

I always liked the 622, although the one I had was a jam-o-matic. If we're doing that I got an other few new things this week. Crappy picture alert!

Stood the test of time. I know custom knife makers who would use 440C and sometimes do. But many of their customers want them to use the latest and greatest steel that is currently enjoying its 15 minutes of fame and trendiness. That's what the customer wants . . . That's what the customer gets. Have to cater to the customer. In a few months, something else will be deemed "exotic," and will take over at the top of the hill until another steel comes along to bump it off.

Very happy with my new Manix 2 combo edge.

Does anyone know what the "E" or "W" with the arrow on it on the blade represents?
