Since some of you might not be members of the JD forums I thought I would bring this to your attention as many of you might recall forum member "DaBird".Sadly he has passed away.

Im sure just about all of us have drooled over his picture thread and enjoyed his company on the forums.

I really enjoyed DaBird's postings, always worth a read.

His picture thread here was wonderful: http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthre ... pydie-Nest
I always had to go see what kind of crazy stuff he had found.

Judging by everyone's opinion of him, he attempted to and succeeded in living life to the fullest.

I know he will rest in peace, he has lived his life to deserve it.

Sorry to hear about this... Although I did not know him personally, it is always heart-breaking to lose a close friend and fellow knife enthusiast. May he rest in peace.

RIP :( never really got to know the guy as I don't frequent the JD forum much. I know I saw many of his postings and he seemed like a real big part of the community there. Wish his family well. :(

rest in piece Jerry.
I received this e-mail from JD forums yesterday as well. Jerry was very active on that forum. The thread over there is 14 pages long with about 200 posts at this time
