how do you align the two blade washers and the blade in order to put the pivot screw back in? I have taken apart my delica a few times and this process is always so slow and painful for me. I have also damaged the inside edges of my washers at times and needed to file them down with my sharpmaker. What is the best way to do it quickly?

I know delicas aren't exactly meant to be taken apart many times, so please don't feel the need to inform me of your opinions on that. Just wondering if their is a quick way to do this.

I used thin cardboard to push them around until they were right.

[CENTER]This is a blade swap I know, from Spydercollector, but it has helped me out a lot. I usually spread apart the liners/frn handles with a piece of slightly oversized wood, oil the washers onto the blade, and it's just a matter of tucking the three pieces in without touching the sides. Works everytime for me. :)

I have used a piece of paper to line them up

The last time I took one apart, I used the CRK grease like glue. The washers just stuck and stayed in place. It only takes a little.

First off, if it's a back lock I'll clamp the lock bar in the open position. Then I push the pivot pin through just far enough to get one washer on, then I put the blade in and push the pin most of the way through that. Then I push the last washer in with paper and get it aligned with a small rod or a dental pick.

I do exactly the same thing. Works pretty well.

Alternatively install the blade and washer first, then lock bar.
