The advice you're going to get on here is: do what gives you the most enjoyment.

Just put it in your pocket, A few scratches aren't going to make the knife worthless.

Brotha if it feels good, and is of course legal, than I say use it and have fun with it.

nice article. I love his reviews.
"Once you grasp the knife you understand how it works and how clever the design of the Shabaria is. Our was partly serrated and really it was really made to be an Assassin tool."

As pretty as it is, I'd say use it and enjoy it. That's what it was made for. :)

If it were worth a lot of money some day, you probably wouldn't sell it.
You'd just have a knife worth a lot of money sitting in a drawer.
To me a knife was made to use. I get the collectability thing and
not wanting to mess one up, so it's always the owners decision.

I have a Massad Ayoob Sprint that I am quite fond of. I carry it as a self
defense knife, which to me means that I don't use it for anything other than
self defense. The blade is always super sharp and ready. If the knife gets
a little banged up here and there, well that's ok.

While they're still easily available, you could always get a second one to keep pristine.

We only live once.

Do yourself and the knife-maker a favor. Use it.
