I think you may be confusing the South Fork (S90V) with the Southard (CTS-204P).

Yes, this is what Eric himself says in the video.

I'm going after the Southard myself. I got the impression, from the video, that the "nice little piece of G10" to prevent overtravel of the lock is just a late afterthought and doesn't flow with the design. The overtravel tab should have just been an extension of the frame, of similar shape to the G10.
As it is, it looks rather silly. IMO. Perhaps you designers see something that I don't.

To be honest the Southard didn't really speak to me but I like it a lot more after getting to handle it at the OKCA show last weekend and will probably pick one up when it gets released.

I handled the production prototype in 204P. It's a very close duplicate of the custom I handled in 2011. It also uses a bearing system (not IKS) for low friction opening. I really like it.

Was there any hint from the SpyderCrew at the OKCA regarding release timeframe?
Still end of this year?

Yeah from what Eric said, it seems more like the KVT bearing system.

Def jealous of anyone that got the play w/ one of these.

Same here; I will pick one up if it is under 200 USD, if possible. Too cool of a model to pass up.

I think that was it. I hadn't heard of it so it didn't stick very well when he said it.

So excited for this as well :D Hopefully there will be enough to go around... can't remember if this is a regular production or a sprint?
