I'm going after the Southard myself. I got the impression, from the video, that the "nice little piece of G10" to prevent overtravel of the lock is just a late afterthought and doesn't flow with the design. The overtravel tab should have just been an extension of the frame, of similar shape to the G10.
As it is, it looks rather silly. IMO. Perhaps you designers see something that I don't.

To be honest the Southard didn't really speak to me but I like it a lot more after getting to handle it at the OKCA show last weekend and will probably pick one up when it gets released.
I handled the production prototype in 204P. It's a very close duplicate of the custom I handled in 2011. It also uses a bearing system (not IKS) for low friction opening. I really like it.
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.
