I had a reply that came to my head the moment I saw both comments but in line with the shiny foot prints protocol I am not publishing it.

On a similar line, was there another Spyderco tanto apart from the Bob Lum version with the ME liner lock?

The word that just came to my mind is "Integrity", perhaps the latin "integritas"

Just came to mind and I looked up the latin :)

phillipsted wrote:We were joking around in the "Earth" thread a couple of days ago, but I like the idea of naming a series of knives after moons in the solar system. NASA has cataloged over 336 named moons in the solar system - and some of them have pretty cool names:

- Ganymede
- Callisto
- Phobos
- Diemos
- Telesto
- Calypso (whoops!)
- Titania
- Oberon

...just to name a few...

I love the idea. All the Galilean moons would make sweet names...Io and Europa as well as the ones you mentioned (maybe Europa for an italian made one :D ). Also Triton or Titan.

Some star names would be cool too...Antares, Rigel, Algol, Arcturus, Procyon etc.

great thread Doc:
politically correct name = D-Chad ( for those pesky hangers-on )
sheeple friendly name = My Friend Flicka
politically incorrect name = Alcatraz ( almost impossible to get unlocked, though )
noteworthy name = DeaconBlue ( Paul's kiwi design + SuperBlue Steel + Steely Dan reference )
funny name = Plastic Surgeon ( draw your own conclusions  )
serious name = Wellingsly Rockstead III, esq....gotcha!! its a silly name also...cant help myself--just in a silly mood :p
anyways I really enjoy this thread!!!

That was already used by Blackhawk.

That is the problem with knife names, you have to use one no one has trademarked.

And have you any idea how many knife names Kershaw has already used... YIKES!!! ;)
