Delicas are more budget knives. For some reason I do not think a SB Delica would be a good idea. A stretch would be nice though.

exactly. This is why they should have it in super blue because if they do it this way there could be one of the best EDC knives in super blue and FRN and it would be a lower price than the Caly 3.5 w/super blue and people who haven't tried SB (like me) could get the chance if they don't want to spend a lot for the caly 3.5

Okay, I'm gonna say, I would probably get a Delica in Super Blue, but I would prefer an Endura or Stretch.

I wonder if we could get them made thinner behind the edge!

If the delica or endura had a choil I'd be all for it, but the stretch has one and overall a better more refined platform for the Super Blue.

Remember Moki was the vendor on the Super blue Caly 3.5. The Delica/Endura is not a Moki made knife. This would mean a new factory having to order, learn to work the steel, test that batch and adjust the heat treat as necessary to get the desired results. All batches of steel are slightly different in composition. Look at the variances listed on the composition chart and then remember ( I have personal experience with) some steels will have orphan elements, or contamination s depending on how you look ti them. This is going to happen when using recycled steels.

Tool steels are typically kept to stricter tolerances but every batch of steel needs to have a few knives run to check how things work out. more than one knife maker and knife company has found they were sent mislabeled steels in the order. :)

To keep from going on and on I'd bet, in my opinion only, it would probably be easier to try for a Moki produced sprint as the learning curve has been completed already.

It is probably do-able. I'd have to do some research. the Caly maker had a hard time with the rust while in production. Knives are wet a lot while being made.

I'd steer away from white. the white models were made for a particular art project and were not as popular as other colors. I also think I'd steer away from G-10 for the obvious high cost. the Japanese Yen is very strong these days.

I think I'd be more inclined to go with a dark blue FRN. Maybe the equivalent of the ZDP green? FFG.

Thanks for the reply Sal. I'm just hoping for some super blue in a cheaper platform for the folks like me who missed out or had to pass on the Caly SB. Seems like a great steel and I'd love to try it out. The Delica being a classic working knife seems like a great platform. Keep us posted. :)

Thanks Sal and this is the same reason that I think that this would be great! And yes, please do keep us posted :)
