I emailed a well known retailer a couple weeks ago about Dodo availability. Last night, I received a email saying they received 2, and one of them had my name on it if I was still interested. It's in the mail today....

I got mine today :D Smaller then I expected, never handled one, havin to use to hands to close it so far. I like the size alot, I think a full sized one in a compression lock would be neat.

I had two of the original Dodo's... One black the other blue. They are interesting knives. And yes if you have never handled one they are smaller than they look. I would be interested in one, but the prices look a bit high for me at the moment.

Not to rub it in, but when I got my original black G-10 version, I think I got it new for $69. ;)

Just received mine in the mail, love it! It has definitely been refined compared to the old version, smoother, better F&F, and better lock up. It is harder to unlock one handed. The first few times I felt my finger nail bend back (I hate that sensation!) I trimmed the nail as short as possible, and now it's pretty easy to close.
Many thanks to Knivesshipfree.com for this one!

I've noticed that where the ball bearing sits in the groove on the new models is MUCH further forward which results in maybe a more sturdy lock up... but makes the unlocking much more difficult when compared to the old blues and blacks.

Awesome. Funny stuff.

Sadly enough, someone will try it now that the seed has been planted.

I got mine today and I echo the comments about improved f&f. The lock-up indeed seems more positive than before.

My Dodo finally arrived safely today.
This is the first Dodo I've ever handled, and it is nice!
The orange G-10 is striking, and the fit and finish are as good as anything I've seen from Golden. Excellent!
Ergonomics are great! As you can tell by the number of exclamation marks in this post, I'm very pleased with this knife!

Got mine from KC today!. I was a little worried about the lack of liners, but its totally sturdy without them, very pleased.

The finish on the blade is PERFECT and it came scary sharp out of the box. Very glad to finally have this blade!

(No pics because I'm lame, sorry :p )
