Is the hole of the paramilitary2 larger than the military's ?
i found the trademark round hole
of paramilitary2 (C81CFP2/C81GPBN2/C81GPBL2)is larger than the military's (C36CFM390P/C36CFBGP), and it is beyond 14mm, why?

Assuming you're correct, why would that be a problem, or an indication of anything other than the obvious - that the blades are completely different and therefore were manufactured using different computer settings on the machine (or machines) that cut them? While significantly bigger is always better, Spyderhole size is not really a critical dimension, a couple thousandths one way or the other isn't going to make any difference in the way a thumb fits into it. Most would not even notice it.

yeah, thanks Paul.
I am not a real Spyderco's collector, I got paramilitary 2 recenly, but i have never touch the paramilitary before. I thought the construction and size of paramilitary 2 are so fit to me, of cause the other key point is for so many powder steel's sake. The hole is not a problem for me, I just want to know more detail information of paramilitary 2 even compare to military. I guess that is one of the improve of Spyderco from military. :D haha
your colletions are so great, and your website is so helpful for us.
thanks again Paul.

On the Spyderco website they are both listed as 14mm (.563 in.). I've seen some errors in other spots though so..

If it's right, the older Milie's probably had a smaller hole than the newer ones.

Not to hijack the thread, but has a Millie2 been announced?Evil D wrote: -snip-
I'd expect the Military 2 to be as big as the Para 2.
Sorry if it's common knowledge, but I've been away from the forums for awhile.
Also. Yeah, the P2 hole is noticeably larger than the Millie.

It has been in the works for about a decade i think but nothing official. There's talk of it coming with the Stop Lock but who knows.darkstar29 wrote:Not to hijack the thread, but has a Millie2 been announced?
