Those classy pocket clips have returned!
Folks,
I just received my new S30V Native in PE (my new work knife) and a short while back my "old style" PE Chinook. Both of these arrived with the "blued"' or anodized finish on the pocket clip. I can't begin to describe my joy at seeing this! Sal, you have been listening, haven't you?
The great knives that I've seen come out over the past little while (Endura, Delica and so forth...) with what appear to be "painted" pocket clips are a real source of aggravation once they (the pocket clips inevitavely) get scratched up and quite "cheap" looking as a result.
So, I am most grateful to Spyderco for their attentiveness regarding our concerns about this clip thing...You are even "cooler" than I thought you were!"
Sincerely, Jeff/1911.

I like the blued clips. They don't seem to scratch like the painted ones and if anything, get more shiny with wear. I use this trick with the painted clips of users that I don't want to get scratched up: Apply a strip of 3M clear packing tape to the clip. It is ugly but protects the clip and can be removed easily with a hair dryer.

Call me crazy, but IMO the "classiest" clips Spyderco ever had were the black clips with the gold "bug" on them. Especially on their micarta models, they were nice.
Anyone know where I can get a few of those?
Back to the subject, when I have a clip get scratched up a bit, I sand it and finish with green scotchbrite pad. It leaves a nice satin-type finish. It's not flashy, not ugly, just nice.
