I have purchased many knives from bladeforums, including spydercos. All of my many transactions have been flawless, but of course that is not guaranteed.
And, of course, eBay. For all the negative comments it gets, it's still the place you're most likely to find any older Spyderco you're looking to purchase.
I like CPF Marketplace when looking for a good deal. eBay seems to fetch higher prices for the seller though and it's of course the closest thing to a guarantee you won't have someone dash with your money.
That said, eBay is the Mecca of fake Spyderco knives. Do your research!

Just received a slightly used Spyderhawk today in the mail that I picked up for less than $50 shipped. I like eBay when you buy from sellers that know their product and have near flawless feedback scores.

Thinking about selling my Sage 3. Want the Sage 1 intstead. I haven't even really used it. Just sits in my drawer. Carryed it a few times. Stropped it also. Knivesplus strop. Bought it for $113 on amazon. Hmm. What's my best option?
Jerzee Devil, Knife-Bst or CPFMarketplace. Bladeforums gets the most traffic but you have to pay to sell. Well, other than eBay, but same thing applies there.
