HI Fred,

I got 2 Babies on a closeout..one with a very low serial # and the other unnumbered.About $35-40 at that time. They are great little pocket pieces, pretty well-made for a small knife. Small opening hole makes a "pinch" opening necessary.
BTW, I think the pic os of a larger model.

The Baby Wayne is among my most favorites (could be also because I'm into small knives) <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

My very first Spyderco was a Baby Goddard. I used to work at a company that only allowed knives with blades 2" or less. When I saw one at a gun and knife show I knew it was perfect--small and very thin. I still carry it sometimes along with my Blue Native. It fits great in the little pocket (change pocket) of my jeans. I've got a real thin lanyard on it so it's easy to get out when I need it.

I just won these two knives on ebay. I think the one on the left is a Baby Goddard It has been sharpened but comes with the box. The one on the right is supposedly new. The seller only knew that they were Spyderco's. Does anyone know what the one on the right is? It has FRN handles. Thanks.

The baby Goddard is a very nice little knife but I don't carry mine for a few reasons. First off, the hole is too small and is beveled making it very slick and difficult to open. Second the guard just doesn't really work on such a knife. It makes the knife a 2 finger knife instead of a potential 3 finger knife. Otherwise I really like the grinds and the micarta looks awesome.
