ps: you're good for the Netherlands however,,,
Do you have a source for that? As far as I know both one-hand opening and locks are perfectly legal in Germany, as long as you don't combine them in one knife.

Which would mean:

Spyderco UKPK -> good
Buck 110 -> good
Spyderco Caly 3 -> bad

IIRC the city-center for Amsterdam is some sort of designated zero-tolerance zone when it comes to anything that can be remotely interpreted as a weapon, by police or municipal officers. Don't play with those spydies in the street when sight-seeing the center of Amsterdam ;) . The venue is outside of the city center though.

If anyone knows Peter van Drumpt, please let him know that his request for 1 ticket was fulfilled and his name has been added to the guest list. His email address bounced and we are unable to contact him.

As for the other two forum members who did not receive a confirmation, you should have gotten a PM. There was a problem with your email addresses also, but your requests have also been fulfilled.

I was there in 2010 as well - and marveled at the trams. They roll right down the middle of the street with nothing separating them from pedestrian walkways. Like Steffan said - if you aren't watching, you could get clobbered.

This type of system would never work in America - an entire brigade of lawyers would sue the Transportation Agency into the stone age. ;)

Only 2 days away! That means we'll have some meet pics up very soon!!! Wish I could be there this year and silent trains be damned!
You can't display a toad in a fine restaurant like this! Why, the good folks here would go right off the feed!

Thank you Sal, Eric, Jurphaas and Gayle for a great day! I'm sure all of the people (from France, Belgium, U.S., Germany, UK) present today will agree, it truly is a unique event. Hopefully we meet again next year in Amsterdam with another awesome line-up.

Would also like to thank everyone involved for a very enjoyable day in a very relaxed atmosphere and the nice presents.
I will probably be dreaming prototypes and concepts tonight.

Thank you to Spyderco, The Glessers, Jurphaas, Joyce, for making this meet happen for the eighth year! Your hospitality is much appreciated. Thank you to Wouter, Ted, & Nemo for their volunteer efforts to help with setup of the facility for all of us :spyder: fans.

I had another great time at this year's meet! It is always good to catch up with long-time forum friends and to meet new ones in person.

A lot of interesting designs in the pipeline! I'm looking forward to seeing many of them progress and evolve as concepts, prototypes, and production models.
