At the SHOT show I saw and handled the firsts proto type of a Spydie Kerambit. Sal said that he wanted to do it but.... it will take a lot of time and will certainly not be released this year. The two (large & smaller) Balisongs I've had the pleasure to handle and inspect on two ocasions. 1st at the IWA 2002 and 2nd just a week ago at IWA 2003. These are totally different in design as all the others you might have seen or own. Last weekend the Spyderco booth was visited by Fred Perrin and he kept coming back just to handle the Balisongs. He is an expert in all types of knife handling and the two balisongs were flying thru the booth simultaniously as if they were attached to his fingertips. Fred has the ability to let the balisongs walk over his hands by keeping them between his fingers. It was really amazing.Travis Quaas, Export manager, has it all on video. Fred put up a great show and only a few witnesed it!
This innovative design shows how much or better how little innovative all the other companies are, they merely copy from each other. The Balisongs available at this show looked as if they were almost ready for production. No proto type markings etc. They will however not be released this year. Good news for those who need some time saving up for the best Balisong the market will provide. Again a serious threat from SPYDERCO!!!

Clipits work!

Thanks, dialex -- very nice design.
BTW What is the smaller blade for -- not to scare people around with larger one?
