Manbug needs a Hawkbill variant!

Wanted to get the ball rolling on a Manbug Hawkbill, if you like the idea make your opinion known and hopefully sooner than later it could become a reality!

Manbug:
OAL 4.46" (113 mm) blade length 1.95" (49 mm)
length closed 2.51" (64 mm) cutting edge 1.72" (44 mm) weight .65 oz. (19 g)

Superhawk:
OALll 7.875" (200mm) blade length 3.5" (89mm)
length closed 4.687" (119mm) cutting edge 2.75" (71mm) weight 4.4oz (125g)

More like a slightly larger Ladybug Hawkbill.

I think Mike Janich's comments regarding the idea of an all black Yojimbo 2 are appropriate for this as well.

Frankly I'm surprised the Manbug was made. Then again, the Ladybug Hawkbill was a shock as well.

We have such a variety of strange blade shapes and sizes I'm just happy to have the variety. Sappy fanboy or not the eclectic model line is very fun.

I've really found the Manbug FRN to be a great little knife. I have never been pleased with the Ladybug or the other bugs - they are just too small to be really useful to me. The little Baby Goddard also falls into this category, but I can't resist the charms of its Micarta...

The Manbug, however, adds just enough width and girth to actually fit in my hand as a useful tool.

Ya I know it's not going to happen anytime soon... I was just hoping for some initial support so spyderco might at least put it on the list of possibilities. My Ladybug Hawkbill is my favorite "little big knife" and I hope to see the manbug version someday.

But, if we're daydreaming and spouting off wish lists, i'd like a PE hawkbill ZDP Manbug and a wharnie ZDP Manbug :D

I'd really like to see a manbug with a mini version of the superhawk blade. Basically a shallow, full flat ground PE hawkbill ideal for precision cutting or use as an OSS hideout.

Small knives like the ladybug and cricket are the ideal formats for the hawkbill blade, as it makes the most of the small blade and is ideal for small knife tasks like opening packages, zip ties, and plastic sheeting.

So I'd love a PE manbug.

+1 for a Hawkbill Manbug. My Manbug stayed on my keys for just a week before I went back to a Ladybug Hawkbill (bought the H1 version so I could keep the VG-10 sprint off my keys). I love the handle on the Manbug, but I just find a tiny Hawkbill extremely useful, especially since I am usually carrying a second larger knife already.

I would be down for a wharny or sheepsfoot manbug. Especially in something like... say... ZDP. Or N690, or M390, or anything... just a wharny and/or sheepsfoot.


Oh, and hawkbill isn't a terrible idea either.
