New (first) SE toy :) I have impulse problems
So today before class I went to a local gun store to pick up a Houdini Pro (I got my girlfriend one and I love it... highly reccommend). Anyways... I knew they had started carrying more :spyder: and brought down their prices a little (they were INSANELY high at first). Long story short... before I knew it I was walking out with not only the Houdini but also a Spyderedge Salt :D . It's my first H1 knife and my first SE... Never thought I'd like SE but from the few things I have sliced up with it I LOVE it! I will post pics when I get back home since school isn't the greatest of photo shoot locations. I work around water so I have been looking at these forever (my slightly spotty Endura will thank mefor this) and after many pics on this fourm I also can't wait to try it in the kitchen! I'm visiting my girlfriend this weekend and I know it will get a workout in the kitchen because we will be cooking most of our meals. So stoked!

You sure chose a great knife for your first Salt and with the SE you will really see what the Salt line is capable of.
Congrats

I do have a Cabelas in the proximity, but they basically have the Delica, Endura and maybe a dragonfly, which I have several of each already and had bought for a heck of a lot less than what they have them marked at. I like Cabelas, but I think that they would prefer to sell their own brands, whether it's knives, shoes or whatever.

How are the prices at the place? Theres a knife store somewhat close to me but unfortunatly they charge full retail on all their knives. I love trying out blades and I have to admit I have bought a few blades from them to try and support them, but its hard to pay $95 for a delica when you can get one online for $40 less. The gun stores that have a selection of blades charge about full retail, and they have had the same stock for a long time.
Manix 2 DLC, Delica 4 FFG, Ladybug 3,County Comm H1 Ladybug 3 , Endura 4 FFG G10, C94 UKPK Leaf, Atlantic Salt, Military Camo DLC,Sage 1 Para 2 DLC, Delica 4.

Some of their prices are too high, like $95 Enduras and Delicas and $170 DLC para2's. But then they have reasonable ones. It's hit or miss... but they're slowly coming down. I bought a BM Mini grip for like 69.99 (sold it and bought an Orange Delica.. :D ) and the Salt I got was $65. They have other companies like Kershaw, ESEE and CRKT for really close to online prices. It's nice to have around for a knife every once in a while when I need a quick fix :rolleyes:Drkknight614 wrote:How are the prices at the place? So I gave the knife a bath and used it to eat some leftover chicken and rice... it cut soooooo good and smooth! I was shocked.

It did so good that I let it have some cardboard for dessert :D It absolutely DESTROYED the box my new head unit for my truck came in... Then it amazed me some more when I used it to strip the wires

Bottom line... I love this knife. Worry free use. Wicked sharp. And after going out of my way to use it the past 2 days... It hasn't slowed down a bit! I definitely will be carrying it CONSTANTLY for a while.

Hahaha this is so true  it's actually on my list now. This knife is truly impressive. I kind of want a Tasman too... I almost got that one instead but chose the be that seemed most practical. But I still want the Tasman too and the pacific. :cool:Shakyamuni wrote:That blade looks a little small... I think you need a Pacific Salt now...

Congratz on the salt VKL.
Nice post and cool photos. Don't get that impulse issue looked in to. You'll be much more happy the way you are now. I didn't get treatment either. Where's my Perrin PPT.....
