Pics and Thoughts: Jester (Sprint Run)
Received a bunch of the Jester Sprint Run knives this morning and was somewhat satisfied with them. First off, they are small, a lot smaller than I had anticipated (didn't look at the specs when I first saw it). I would say it is about the same size as the Ladybug knives. I do like the double jimping for ascetics but trying to figure out a real world use for it. Price ($59) is a tad bit high for something that is so small and only with VG-10 steel. For such a small knife it is solid though, much more solid feeling than any of the FRN Ladybugs I've held. Plus it helps that it is a sprint run and only so many were made. If you were thinking of picking up a Ladybug and price isn't a concern, I'd pick this up as it just feels better overall. Plus I like a little more weight to my knives.

Yeah, I could've sworn I read linerless.Quick Draw wrote:Very nice ! I thought that they were going to be linerless, but I see steel liners in the pics. Will be getting one for sure when they get around.
Man, I wish I had $65 for a keychain knife right about now...

Sal did say linerless. Liners are pretty useless on a knife this small- just added cost to a little knife. G-10 is plenty tough. Oh well, I'd still like one- But that's a steep price for a tiny knife.dj moonbat wrote:Yeah, I could've sworn I read linerless.

It should be the same exact size as a Ladybug. The Ladybug 2 handle came directly from the Jester.smikesmith3 wrote:First off, they are small, a lot smaller than I had anticipated (didn't look at the specs when I first saw it). I wonder if it has the pinned pivot where a blade swap can be performed?

I am not huge fan of gray either. I would certainly get it if g10 was polished. But you never know, may be I will get it, polish it and dye it.

Yeah price is an issue for me...about $45 or so and I would be all over it.
My biggest disappointment is the G-10...from all the pics I had seen the G-10 looked to be darker than the rest we had been seeing and that was awesome. But...Meh.
If I can get one cheap enough I will buy because I love the blade shape. Far far better than the LB and I like the construction. But $60 plus shipping is a lot.
