What was your first spyderco
Tenacious...that was about 30 some Spydies ago.
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Dude that's awesome.Im Just turned 12. But when i was 9 all i had was a small dull Schrade lockback.Lucky you lol.
Bet you bring that ladybug every to go that Fair :)
Mine was a Tenacious, which I think is one of the more common choices for a first Spydie.
It's till hard to believe the high quality that's available from Sypderco for $30. It's not the greatest steel, but sharpens easily and locks up as solidly as the day it arrived.
I've since added a Native and a Military and I have my eye on a few others.
So many choices...so little money.

My first Spyderco knife?
I just ordered a Sage1 (through Amazon).
I narrowed it down to the Native, Cary3, and the Sage1. I may end up with all 3 eventually, in one form or another, but the price on the Sage, with S30V steel and carbon fiber handles, was too good to pass up.
The knives I just mentioned all seem to be in the 3-inch blade category. I'll also look at other sizes in the near future: Para-Military2, Military, and maybe something smaller too - sub-3-inch... the Chaparral maybe?
I've lived in Alaska for the last 20 years. To me, a folding clip knife won't replace a fixed blade or big folding sheath knife. If I don't get side-tracked, I guess I'm looking for one or more knives in the city/office/civilian EDC category, suitable for in-pocket carry without using the clip.
I'm a new Spyderco fan. How'd I end up here? The Sharpmaker. :)

Mine as well. Except it was yellow. I watched the movie cliffhanger and had one about a week after I saw the movie. I was in scouts at the time and that knife got alot of use. My brother is in posetion of it now. Think im gonna call him up and have him ship it my way. Love to put it to use again.OldSarSwmr wrote:This one about twenty years ago :D
