MBC 2.0 videos #1-3...

#1

Post by psychophipps »

I stuck to my guns this year and asked for exactly one thing this Christmas from everybody. Lo and behold, my crazy scheme actually worked! ;)

Just watched MBC V2 1-3 and I have to say that I was very impressed with the overall quality of the instructional cinematography, the thoughtful way it was presented and discussed, and how Vince (? The big guy. Sorry if I got it wrong in the meantime!) looked like he was ready to tear someone's head off at any moment while seeming to be the nicest, most patient guy in the world while Mr. Janich slapped him around. Nose over toes! :D

Excellent video series if you're interested in an introduction to knife training for self defense and I would heartily recommend it to anyone that shows any interest in finding such. Thanks for the great introduction to the MBC system, all of the hard work you put into sending out a top-quality production, and I will definitely be looking for seminars to attend in the future.

Hello psycophipps,

Thank you for the kind words concerning the production values of the series. We worked hard on it.

Mike Janich's instruction is first rate (yes I have drunk the Kool-Aid deeply - and a lot of single-malt scotch as well). The system is logical and scalable, and is accessible to the casual practitioner, as well as dedicated self-defense students.

Vince soaks up hits like a sponge soaks up water. Wring him out - and he soaks up more. He truly is the nicest and most patient guy, and I am honored to call him my friend and brother.

For those who may interested in the system, remember that we don't just do "knife", we have counter knife (CBC), empty-hand (Damithurt Silat), and stick (Sobadiwan Eskrima) components as well. They are all complimentary skill sets and not just a bunch of disparate martial arts "duct taped" together. Check out Mike's MBC website for instructors and study group leaders in your area.

More volumes in the MBC series are coming very soon.

Best,

Mike

Dear Psychophipps:

Thank you very much for the kind words. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos and hope they help you further your training goals.

Vince is indeed durable and a **** of a nice guy. Mike Rigg also worked extremely hard on the videography and editing to help convey the instruction as clearly as possible.

FYI, volumes 4 and 5 of the series have also been shot, as well as a dedicated video on knife carry and deployment. Look for them in the months to come.

Thanks again!

Stay safe,

Mike
