I got this Kiwi off Ebay as shown in the first pics. Next are the in process, with the final results after that. Black Micarta. Looks better in real life, camera picks up ALL the details/scuffs. Good enough for a user and my first shot.

Nice job Simple Man. YOu can do quite a bit of modifying with a Kiwi. See Deacon's site.

Thanks guys. It was a fun, relaxing, little project. I've come to enjoy bringing well loved ones back to usefulness.

Thanks Tony, you already helped me out quite a bit before I tackled it. Yours put mine to shame, but it will be a good carry with some character, especially for what it was before. Yours are beautiful.

Paul, your collection came to mind when I got this one and realized something need done to it. It is too nice a design to let die in a box.
