Don't let the Sprint run of the Meerkats get away. Only one things better that a Meerkat and that's Two Meerkats, one in PE and the other in SE. Both these knives have seen a lot of pocket time...and did I tell you the Phantom Lock is awesome....Doc :)

If that is your experience with your two Meerkats, congrats.
All of our Meerkats we have in the familiy (4 pieces) have blade play (more or less).

Beautiful pictures of a great knife! It's the knife that started my obsession with Spyderco. I still don't have any reverse S blades and continue to look for them. I have a quick question about Golden made Meerkats, were there any other blade shapes made in Golden other than the PE leaf blade? Thanks

I think only the first 440C (Modified Drop point) model was produced in Golden between 2001 and 2002, from 2003 on all others models were produced in Seki City

Oh yeah, I love the Meerkat! I'd like to get one of the burgundy sprints to go along with my blue gray sprint from 2010. Its also one of the knives that helped grab my interest as far as Spyderco knives go...

Nice pics. I have the blue sprint, so I'm not planning to get the burgundy sprint. But, when they come out with a reverse s sprint, I'll be on it.

The only problem with the Meerkat sprints is that they use the drop point blade style rather than the Reverse-S. :p :D
