Orange ParaMilitary 2
As you know, there will be Green, Blue and Brown ParaMilitary 2 sprints released within sight. I did stumble upon the announcement/rumor of the possibility of an Orange PM2. What would the steel of this sprint be? CPM-M4?
I hope so, I'd rather have M4 in a PM2 than buying the M2 sprint at a premium, even though BBS still has them in stock for $153.95 plus shipping.

I agree, guys! I want an orange G-10 Para2. A nice steel would be good, but I would purchase a couple of them regardless of the steel! It would be a great addition to the Spyderco family of orange G-10 blades.
A black bladed DLC version would be nice, too!

:spyder: (+1) . . . . Same thoughts here  . . . . I like alot CTS and I'am using SPIDIEs-CTS as EDC but CPM-S30V is an excellent everyday task steel also :D . . . . :spyder:bh49 wrote:I would prefer some new Carpenter steel, but S30V will be fine for me. i will buy this knife just because it will be orange :)
Here's one for ya (for y'all) - how about BG-42? The last time that appeared in a Spyderco sprint was, going by memory, the Military CF sprint that was run about five years ago. At 61-62Rc, I still find BG-42 an amazing performer.MachSchnell wrote:As you know, there will be Green, Blue and Brown ParaMilitary 2 sprints released within sight. The Green ParaMilitary 2 will be offered through KnifeWorks, and it should have CTS-204P steel, but they are not taking pre-orders yet.

I don't think they have ever had any shared characteristic, whether it be steel, model, or color.God'sMyJudge wrote:last time cs and kw had exclusives, both knives had the same steel with different color scales, right? maybe both the orange and the green will be 204p.
CS has only has one so far AFAIK; the orange G-10 S30V Manix 2.
Knifeworks has offered different models, colors, and steels; the black G-10/Ti M4 Millie and the CF M390 Millie, neither of which matches the steel that CS used.
Even if they had used the same steel in the same model in the past (with only a change in scale color), since the specifications for each sprint are determined by the individual dealer, a similarity in the past would likely have been a coincidence and wouldn't necessarily mean that they would offer the exact same steels as each other in the future.

I find it interesting that there is a green para 2.........
I have seen tons and tons of threads about people wanting an Orange Para2 and I can't recall a thread about a green para2....
Is this a special collaboration for a company that specifically requested green?
Just based on my perception on reading these threads, I figured an Orange Para2 would be in the works before a green one would even be considered.
Thoughts on why green was chosen before orange?

It was the decision of each individual dealer that commissioned the respective knife. Cutlery Shoppe chose to use orange G-10 when they put in their order. Knifeworks chose to use green for theirs. Likewise, Bento Box Shop chose to use blue while <s>someone</s> Moteng (a distributor) apparently liked brown <s>(can't remember if it's a normal sprint or a distributor exclusive)</s>. In reality, the orange is coming before the green, as I believe the orange one goes on sale fairly soon while the green isn't scheduled to arrive until May or June.trackstar55 wrote:I find it interesting that there is a green para 2.........
