We are enablers here. :DDRKBC wrote:chuck_roxas45 wrote:Well here's just another reason to mull over.
I don't know whether to thank you for that or not :D bad, bad influences.
I think the good thing about the recession is that it has caused me to really tighten my belt ... rather than making a few large purchases now I just make a whole bunch of small ones, now that's fiscal responsibility :D

Well, I did own a couple of Spydies before I started hanging out here, but after I joined that number went up exponentially :) .DRKBC wrote:Do you ever wonder why you do it to yourself? I do like the knife. I am probably looking for excuses not to buy it more than to buy it ... sometimes I think I should just stay off the internet ... at least untill January, ur ah ... no I'm not going to do that, thats just crazy talk.
It probably indicates some deep-seated psychological problems I have, but I recognize that I am somewhat influenced by statements others make here when reviewing a knife, or raving about a particular models great features. Unfortunately I often don't develop a liking for a particular model until after it is discontinued and scarce :) .
I probably *would* end up saving more money (or blowing it elsewhere) if I got banned from the forum :D . But do I regret buying the knives I have? No, not really. I *do* get great enjoyment from handling them, deciding which ones to carry with me each day, and turning sticks into piles of shavings with them.
And it wasn't until after I purchased the Para2 that I saw what everyone was raving about, it really is a *very* nice knife!
Which Knife, A or B? get Both! (and C, D and E) :)
I couldn't agree more, I think the momentum really kicks in when you deal with a lot of like minded people, what's that expression "preaching to the converted". I am the same I love every knife I own and regret none of them. The Para 2 is one that I have to say has never really grabbed me but I haven't handled it and with so much positive chat on the forum about it from I can see it must be a great knife. Great enough to justify an extra $200 bucks on the week before Christmas when I have a new Lum and a Fenix TK21 on the way is the real question. :)rodloos wrote:Well, I did own a couple of Spydies before I started hanging out here, but after I joined that number went up exponentially :) .
