Have a chance to buy a Spyderco Para-Military2 Gray Sprint
Hi Guys I have an opportunity to buy a Spyderco Para-Military2 Gray sprint run new for $200. Would you do it? If it was CF I would be all over it, I would appreciate your opinions.

That's about how much I spent on each of the two I have.

I just got the Bob Lum so I am not in a big need for another grey G10 knife but I know these aren't too easy to find. Those of you who have it I take it are impressed with it? Has any one had any issues with blade play? I have heard this was a bit of an issue with some of these knives?Slash wrote:How bad do you want it?
I'm not to crazy about gray g10. Only have a couple Lum's in gray.
But, that's a Bob Lum tanto design. I just had to get it.
Maybe you can see where I'm going with this.
I don't even remember what they MSRP'ed at, i pretty much over looked this knife until i knew about the steel and by then i missed the chance to buy one. I'm not crazy about the gray G10 either, and after carrying my DLC Para 2 for a while now it would be like polar opposites, but for that steel i'd live with it. I'd even be tempted to break the warranty and swap on some black scales, or at least try to dye the gray.
The way i justify the price is, look what you'd pay for a S90V Para 2...sometimes twice that much. The steels are pretty comparable, so all that extra money is being spent on carbon fiber scales. This one is a pretty good deal all things considered.

All good points ... I really would like the CF but like you alluded to in your post it wouldn't be two hundred bucks.Evil D wrote:I don't even remember what they MSRP'ed at, i pretty much over looked this knife until i knew about the steel and by then i missed the chance to buy one. No advantage really(maybe just because it available to you now) M390 is supposedly just a bit better than 20CP but I doubt anyone but the most experienced steel heads and knife users would notice. If you have pre-ordered the blue para 2, you might as well wait for it. Unless you really want the grey scales.Niles wrote:Thanks! What would be the advantage of buying this knife over waiting for the M390? Barring, for the sake of a collection. It would be cheaper to wait, and you'd get a great blade (to my mind, a better steel).

Thanks again for the great advice guys, I will wait for the M390, decision made.chuck_roxas45 wrote:No advantage really(maybe just because it available to you now) M390 is supposedly just a bit better than 20CP but I doubt anyone but the most experienced steel heads and knife users would notice.
