Silly Noob Question

#1

Post by Shpid0inkle »

So i'm not even sure which spyderco knife i have (it was a gift)... from browsing the pictures and matching the screwholes and overall size i believe it to be an Endura4. I love this knife as it stand up to any abuse i throw at it (quite a bit between working in a kitchen and landscaping) but it has lost a clip screw and the others are in need of tightening. the only discerning marks are "v8-10" and "seki city" on the reverse side, its all stainless *** well. any ideas?

again i reveal my ignorance to this excellent product, a "swedge" is a tip sharpened on both sides? because mine isn't. mayhaps i'll just ship it in for sharpening (it needs it) and have them replace the screws for me

also you mean the blade is stamped VG-10 not v8-10 and seki city where it's manufactured. i have a delica 4 the smaller version of the endura. the screws on it are torx heads and the clips as well as screws can be ordered from the spyderco outlet store which can be found at spyderco.com. you can easily sharpen vg-10 using a ceramic rod sharpener. i found thats its good for when a blade is going dull and needs a touch up. hope this helps.

Given that it's all stainless and has e VG-10 blade, if that blade is a bit over 3 3/4" long, and the handle has three screw holes at each of the four corners, then it's an Endura IV. As for the clip screws, contact Spyderco, phone is the best way, tell them you'd like to purchase a set of clip screws for an all stainless Endura IV. They'll probably send them to you gratis.
