Thank You Sal, Javiero, Donut,

Sal, To be Welcomed by You is an extreme Honor which I never expected.
I can't think of a better forum, with a better group of People, in which to spend My time and passion with. People Like Javiero and Donut took the time to welcome Me, which in already makes us friends. That is why I am here, why I am now into Spyderco, it's the "Quality Products and People " that Make this work, and Me feel Welcome!
" Thanks so Much,"

Sal, u truly are a classy man its stuff like this that make you have such loyal fans willing to defend you and your product in the blink of an eye but i understand what you are saying and i will also do my part to both honor your request and remind others if they forget

Extreme newbie to the forum, but have been into knives for years and years. I am very new to Spyderco, but I am very impressed by what I have been seeing in terms of knife quality as well as extreme qaulity of integrity.
I can see why you all are so passionate about Spyderco knives.
People with integrity are extremely rare these days. We need more people like that!
Thanks Sal!

sal wrote:This is a sensitive subject, so I would appreciate your patience and understanding.

The hostility that seems to appear on the forum makes it an uncomfortable place to be. This is opposite the intention.

Much of the hostility seems to be centered around the "round hole issue".

After listening to comments, discussion and much thought (which requires time becausae I'm sometimes slow), I have a request.

I am asking you to pull any tag lines or comments that could be percerived as hostile or antagonistic to other companies in the knife industry, while on our forums.

I realize that to many, it is an important issue, and I will admit to being sensitive myself, but a negative approach is not good for the industry or Spyderco in the industry.

Intelligent, civil communication is more valuable.

We have always tried to "leave shiny footprints" where ever we go. I personally have tried to avoid negative comments towards other companies. (No, I'm not perfect either :o ) I think it serves to keep thoughts about Spyderco and other companies more positive than negative.

If you would like to be closely associated with Spyderco, which we greatly appreciate, it would be our wish that you consider leaving shiny footprints rather than hostile feelings, where Spyderco is concerened.

thanx much for your cooperation and kind understanding.

Sal, you're an impressive guy. I hope to meet you and visit your shop in Golden this fall when I visit my boys in the Springs area.

Sal you are class guy, I like many different knives from different manufacturers and my Spydercos are among my favorites and EDC. Actions like this set a company apart from the others pure class.

To those of you who were ribbing me earlier today when I outed myself on losing 7 Dodos, the words spoken by Sal here are why I have the 8th in my pocket right now. Though cursed, and inevitably set for losing this one, I will someway, somehow, continue as a Dodo owner/carrier because I know that if there is ever a problem with one that I haven't lost yet, Sal and the good folks at Spyderco will take care of me.

Here! Here! Let's hear it for a guy that does business like I do business.
"Yes Occifer, she said KINKY...... That's "K" as in KNIFE...." "OUCH"!!!!
