Hi Sam,
As I mail this my dad is making his way throug the Wasa Run (Long distance skiing).
When the "Old fart" is done, I´ll call his cell and place the Mora knife order..
You will just have to wait and see what I get when you recive the package some day
Take care,
Jesper

Good Day Vox!
Guess this thread must have slipped past my radar.. *hee-hee!* Good to hear that your old man is having a chill of a time at the ski-races.. Man, I'd only seen some documentary of such nature on TV.. They musta been really awesome.. Never skied in my life.. Saw snow for the first time two years ago in Golden, Co. Oh yeah, Thanks a million for the Moras. Heard that there are laminated ones.. is it true? I'd just finished with a feild evaluation with the Moras you had sent me.. Totally awesome! Its just a matter of taking the pictures and getting the evaluation articles written.. Mmmm.. speaking of tools, I'm kinda interested in getting a Nordic Axe.. Also putting some Tomahawks into consideration.. Check this out in the picture post..

Jeffrey, What you got there sounds like an original Mora knife. Frost is the biggest company up there now. These knives are hardworkers, no nonsense utility and great tools!!
Vox.
Samo,
I think the ones you already have are laminated. Most Nordic blades are made that way.
Vox.
Java,
Ship the Pivots off to me (You are 100% sure they aren´t one hand openers!) Then we will see if the police have the hots for me or not...Hopefully NOT!

Hi All,
Samo it looks like we forumites from colder climes are making you into an 'artic knife knut'...Moras (beautiful knives), Nordic axes, next on the list, Puukkos and Ulus!
This learning goes both ways as well. Thank you Samo for introducing me to knives from warmer climates. They are facinating to us 'winter people'. I love the golok, Keris and Malaysian native knives which are unique, appealing to the eye and highly functional.
Vox, did "The Old Fart" do well in the race? LOL

mmmm... some years ago, well, very long ago, did invent a sorta ski with wheels so that he could skiff through grass.. thus enabling him to train in summer for the winter games.. I can briefly recall it being introduced to Malaysia (with an all-year round temp of 27°C ~ 32°C!!!) but didn't kinda took off because the skiers had to aviod cow dung on the pastures like a minefield.. then came 'rollerblade' which actually made it rather big here..
