Hi Nick,
Welcome!

Congratulations on your "R"

I have 2 PE model Rs. To me, they have a lot more to offer than the Q. The Q's handle/clip/lock is kind of flimsy...on the R, it's strong. I just kind of like the simplicity of the R.

Nick,

Nice find there. The R is a cool knife, I like the way that you can see how the lock works. Nice and light and slim, I hardly can tell when it's in my pocket.
I think that there were only 1,200 of them made, 600 SE and 600 PE from what I can recall.
The R is definatley a "keeper".

nick, nice score on the "R." I agree with Bruceter that it is a slim and light carry that you hardly notice in your pocket. One caution though--don't spread peanut butter with this knife!

Hi Jeff,

Sorry, my son's claimed the second R. I go to a lot of knife shows on the west coast. I'll look for one for you.

Welcome aboard and enjoy your new "R". Just like it's little brother (the "Q&quot it's a very nice and interesting knife.
Too fancy for me, but that's just my personal taste, the knife is OK
