Your favorite "user"/EDC Spydie is?

#1

Post by KBR »

I was thinking about which Spyder I use the most....and almost thought about selling/trading off all of the others in my collection since I use my Military CE so much.

The Military is so well constructed, IMHO, that actually using it for "real" cutting doesn't bother me at all. Because the Millie fits my requirements in an EDC to uttermost perfection, I also easily classify it as my favorite Spyder EDC out of my collection.

Which Spydie would you consider to be your "favorite" user/EDC?

For quite a while, I was content with my modified Harpy(s)...then came the SpyderHawk, and now I have my CF lefty Police. I'm hopelessly torn between the SpyderHawk & Police, so I carry them both (and do all my utility cutting with the 'Hawk).

Oh man, that's a tough one. I don't have just one, not even close.

OK, here are the top ones: PE G-10 Police, large CE Wegner, PE Delica, PE Military, PE Chinook, PE S/S Police, and now my new PE Massad Ayoob!

The rest see regular rotation, but not as much as these.

My one is a PE G-10 Police. Before it was a Endura SE.
If I'll find a smaller one I would take this I think.

Around the house I found my PE & SE G-10 Standard the most usefull.

To work I carry my Al. Cricket PE

For camping:
- While preparing food around the tent: EKA Camp knife.
- While hiking - Just bought a Fallkniven F1 fixed blade.
- While visiting a town - Sebenza

My "user" Spydie EDC is my SS PE Delica. My "non-user" EDC is my SS SE Police.

Sheeple/IWB: stuck with c52PBK, 01 edition... but it's my c28 'fly that Eric has right now.

Mine is the Blue Native CE. Just a tad bigger that the Ti salsa and 'feels' right. I still carry the Ti at work, but the native gets more action.

My EDC:
1. Wegner Jr. PE (always)
2. Chinook PE or Fallkniven WM-1, depends, WM-1 sits very nicely in my Levi's #501 jeans.

For work: Delica PE, VG-10, often in my briefcase.

Watchpocket (jeans): often Dragonfly SS PE

KBR-what would you trade them for.I have thought about going from spydies to higher end stuff like MT,CRK and others but decided that they are probably not much better and cost alot more.I have been narrowing my spydies to just a couple of models or groupings.Forum models,Natives and Militaries mostly.I would like to someday have all the Native variants.I noticed that Raden has gotten away from spydies and gone to higher end knives or it aleast looks that way.Does anyone else here collect mostly just one or two models?BTW I still have other models but the collection just seems to have gravitated toward the Native and Military the most.
