USN Catcherman Release Date

#1

Post by dapagco »

UPDATE: USN Catcherman is now live on Spyderco.com: http://bit.ly/SPYc17

If the product page doesn't fully load, you can still complete checkout.

The USN Catcherman is in the house and being prepped for release! This forum exclusive will be available only through Spyderco.

We are pushing for a Monday, August 29 official release at 10AM MDT. I will update this post with the link to the Product Page at that time.

Our last USN exclusive I hear sold out in a day, so if you are interested in this one, I highly recommend getting on it as soon as you can.

There will be a 2 knife max per person.

What is the blade steel?
We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.

Is there a way to reserve or prepay for a couple of these? I will be at work on Monday and won't have access to a computer. I try not to involve my wife in my knife purchases........if ya know what I mean ;) Also, is this a DLC finish and will some be without the finish?

Hey don't let the Combo Edge on the Catcherman stop you from getting it. The plain edge part of the blade is so long you won't be bothered by it at all.

Oh by the way is Spyderco the only place you will be able to order these? Or are they only for USN members? I'll have some $$ Monday and I sure would love one for a user.

These will only be available on Spyderco.com, but they are available to anyone, including the USN forum.

Tech specs for this knife will be ready when the product page goes live on Monday. We are still working those all out. :)

You'll be able to use this knife as you would any other H1 knife. Since it doesn't rust, it's ideal for wet watery adventures. With it's toxic green handle, it's difficult to misplace.

Unfortunately, we do not take preorders.

My aqua salt's probably get more use than any other Spydie I have. This would definitely be a user for me as well. Hoping there may be some non-coated versions? If not, still be happy to get one of these. I would guess the spec's would be the same as the original catcherman? Dapagco sure knows how to get folks going :D

That's great and all...but where is the Dialex Junior? Or all the other great models shown on the mid-year supplement?

Know the feeling. I am more concerned with the knives I already own. I hope she moves out to sea a bit more.
