TapTalk

Are there any mobile/pad apps enabled for this forum?

I use TapTalk (http://www.tapatalk.com/) on my Ipod Touch and it works quite well for BladeForums another vBulletin® forum.

I also use Tapatalk and find it quite useful. I understand it is a built-in feature of vBulletin that only needs to be turned on by the sysadmin. Who is that person?

I believe TazKristi is the system Admin. The problem is, this is an old version of vBulletin. I think it is even older than the version that was being run on Bladeforums before the upgrade in April (they were using 3.8.7, I think this one is 3.8.2). You know, the upgrade that some people are still *****ing about, brought about by the folks at vBulletion declaring the old version "end of life" and discontinuing support for it. I don't know if there is even a Tapatalk plug-in available for this version. Frankly, I doubt it.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.

Thanks guys. I was afraid it might be something like that. I am used to the new version on BladeForums, but for some it was/is still a problem, Thanks!

I'm also using Tapatalk for pretty much all the forums I hang out in. Great little App that seems to load up very fast and with each upgrade of Tapatalk it's getting even better. Wish Spyderco Forums would enable it but that's not our call. With any additional upgrade and support for Apps etc comes a lot of logistics and AFAIK Taz is flat out busy.

I have tap talk on my Ipad2 but I really don't like it so I just use the safari browser and I like it better.

Me too. Just downloaded it and like it a lot. The only issue I seem to have is that I have to go into manage apps and force stop it so it does not continue to run. I was able to get on blade forums and bushcraftUSA no problem. This would be nice to have for Spyderco too.
Sometimes you gotta kick at the darkness until it bleeds daylight.

AKA: Liveitloud on Blade Forums, USN, EDC, Benchmade forums and basically everywhere but here.
liveit_loud on Ebay.

From everything i read you don't have to worry about it, android will manage it and shut off when necessary
